The Lady Lions are now the district basketball champs! They will play on Monday, February 11th at 7:30 PM against the West Lady Trojans in the Hillsboro high school gym. Come cheer them on!!

At Blooming Grove ISD, we strive to ensure student and staff safety at all times. Your child's health and safety are of utmost importance to us.

Today, an incident occurred on campus regarding the health and safety of one of our students who acted alone and made no attempt to harm anyone else. The student is receiving medical assistance at this time and is in the care of family. Students at Blooming Grove Jr. High are safe. Counselors will be available tomorrow for all who would like to visit.

Join us for our BG Mane Theatre's first Christmas Coffee House on Friday, December 21st at 7:30 PM. Located in the high school cafeteria enjoy a Christmas-themed variety show with students performaning songs, acting, readings, and improv! Desserts, snack items, coffee, coco, etc will be served. Cost is $5 per person. We hope to see you there!

BGISD students have a holiday on Friday, December 14th. Staff will have a work day and our Junior High campus is hosting a Junior High UIL competition. Enjoy the long weekend!

Mark your calendar and make plans to join us on Thursday, December 13th, for our 6th, 7th, 8th, and high bands Christmas concert! The concert will begin at 6:00 PM in the auditorium. Bring your family and friends and enjoy the sounds of the holiday!

Lisa Contreras recently won the People's Choice Award for the high school category at the Navarro Council of the Arts Outdoor Painters Society of America's PaintOut. In addition to Lisa, Blooming Grove High School was represented by Blooming Grove students Tempest Couch, Dorothy Jimenez, Ethan Nors, and Haidyn Praytor.
Work by artists from the Outdoor Painters Society as well as some student work is for sale. Their work is on display through this Friday, November 30th, at the Warehouse Living Arts Center Theatre and Gallery in Corsicana located at 119 W. 6th Ave.

The Lions JV and Varsity basketball game against Whitney on Tuesday, November 27th, will be in Whitney. The JV game will begin at 5PM and Varsity at 6:15PM.
