We are thrilled to welcome Billy Harlan to BGISD as our new Executive Director of Extracurricular Activities & District Operations. Billy brings over 30 years of experience in education, having served in various leadership roles, including Assistant Superintendent, Executive Director of Athletics, Executive Director of Human Resources, Campus Principal, Head Baseball Coach, and Teacher. Most recently, Billy served as the Superintendent of Academy ISD, where his leadership drove significant academic progress and facility improvements. Under his direction, Academy ISD successfully passed and completed an $80 million bond project that transformed district facilities. Billy will not only advance our athletic programs but will also focus on enhancing all extracurricular activities, including fine arts and junior high programs. His leadership will be instrumental in ensuring that all of our students have access to high-quality opportunities that enrich their education and development. Additionally, his expertise in facility improvements will help us take our district’s infrastructure to the next level, providing our students and staff with the resources they need to perform at the highest level. We are also excited to announce the hiring of Shane Holcomb as our new Junior High Principal. Shane brings 25 years of educational experience, including roles as a Campus Principal, Assistant Principal, Teacher, and Coach. He previously coached in BGISD and is a long-time resident of Navarro County, making him very familiar with our community. Shane is committed to building strong relationships, fostering positive campus culture, and ensuring accountability at the Junior High level. His leadership will bring energy and focus to the Junior High campus, strengthening the foundation for student success that is already established on this amazing campus. I look forward to working with Mr. Griggs, the School Board, the staff and students in making our visions become reality."

Ashlee Crabtree has been named Executive Director of Curriculum and Technology. Ashlee will continue her outstanding leadership in curriculum development, supporting teachers and principals while also taking on the leadership of our technology department. In this expanded role, she will focus on advancing our technology integration, modernizing our classrooms with high-tech learning environments, and providing ongoing professional development for staff to maximize the use of digital resources. Her vision will help prepare our students and staff with the skills they need for the future while enhancing engagement and efficiency across the district. Ashlee Crabtree- "Being promoted to the Executive Director of Curriculum and Technology for Blooming Grove ISD is not just an opportunity—it's a responsibility to lead with vision, innovate with purpose, and empower both educators and students to thrive in our amazing district”. 

We are excited to announce the advancement of Judy Paschal to the role of Instructional Technology & Innovation! In this position, Judy will continue her dedicated work in supporting teachers and students with classroom technology while leading the district in building an innovative technology structure that enhances high-level teaching and learning. In addition to her focus on instructional technology, Judy will play a key role in developing a long-term vision for technology growth within BGISD. This includes planning for technology replacement cycles, driving future technology innovations, and refining our campus-wide one-to-one device initiatives. Judy’s leadership and expertise will help ensure that technology continues to be a powerful tool in engaging students and enhancing instructional excellence across our district. We are thrilled for this next step in her journey and look forward to the impact she will make! Judy Paschall- "I am committed to fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and forward-thinking in education. My goal is to support teachers and students in integrating technology and innovative practices to enhance learning experiences. By providing resources, training, and strategic guidance, I strive to empower educators to embrace new tools and methodologies that drive student engagement and success.
